The TFI last week had requested ITF to move the tie outside Pakistan as Iranian players were reluctant to visit Pakistan due to security concerns.

The president of the PTF, Salim Saifullah expressed delighted on receiving a reconfirmation from ITF of Islamabad being remained as venue to host the tie.

“Pakistani players will get a chance to play before home crowds after a long time, and our people will also get to see their heroes in action,” said Salim Saifullah.

According to the schedule, the Davis Cup tie between Pakistan and Iran will be played in Islamabad from February 3rd to February 5th.
