Nine Kashmiri teenagers arrested for taking pictures with Pakistani flag

SRINAGAR: 

At least nine Kashmiri youth were arrested by Indian forces for taking pictures with Pakistani flags at the tourist resort Pahalgam in Indian-occupied Kashmir, the Kashmir Media Service reported.

The arrested youth had travelled to Pahalgam for a picnic when the Indianp police took them into custody, seized their vehicles and flags. According to KMS, they were also booked under fake cases.

Meanwhile, students in Badgam, Srinagar, and other parts of the territory continued to hit the streets to register protest against Indian forces.

Intense clashes between students and Indian troops erupted after pro-freedom and anti-Indian slogans were raised at SP College in Srinagar. Indian police used brute force, fired tear gas shells on the protesting pupils, injuring many.

One Indian police official was taken to the hospital after being injured when a stone hit his head during the protest.
