Karachi: (Asghar Ali Mubarak) The increasing interest of football teams to take part in National Challenge Cup is encouraging “We are highly encouraged by the overwhelming response from the football lovers of Pakistan”, “many new teams have requested for their registration in National Challenge Cup 2018” Faisal Saleh Hayat, the President of PFF has said. “National Challenge Cup will not only provide a wonderful opportunity to the Karachites to watch competitive matches, the National Challenge Cup 2018 will be staged in Karachi from 20 April to 10 May 2018 in which 24 top football teams are expected to take partplayers from across the country to showcase their talent but also to PFF which will appoint a technical study group to spot new talent for the formation of national football teams for the forthcoming international events. Only a few days ago, the President of PFF had announced the resumption of the national and international football activities of Pakistan national football teams of both genders which caused a sigh of relief for the football fraternity of Pakistan.

The game remained halted for 3 long years causing irreparable damage to the ongoing football development in the country. The general secretary PFF has hailed the formation of new departmental clubs, “the formation of new departmental clubs is good for the game as it shall support the endeavors of PFF in many ways”, “not only it will help to bring forth the untapped young talented players, but many football coaches will also get employment with the new teams” Lodhi
said. He said that Pakistan State Life Insurance, Asia Ghee Mills and Shama Banaspati have approached PFF for their teams to be registered
for National Challenge Cup 2018.

The renowned coaches and referees had also admired the announcement of recommencement of local and international football activities by PFF immediately after it has been reinstated and the FIFA suspensions are removed.
